Amit Live World Tour Concert

Talk about taking headbanging rock music to the next level, last night(30th Jan 2010) at Amit Live Concert she totally blew me away with the performance so much so that could well be one of the best rock concerts I have ever been to. Amit Live is also very well choreographed with several unexpected surprises that has definitely left a deep impression in the minds of the awesome crowd.

I’m no stranger when it comes to A-mei’s concerts, been to several ones before and trust me when I say there’s none like this one, just as A-mei had earlier stated that she is Amit not the A-mei that we used to know. This Amit Live Concert is all about rock and rock only. Apart from singing the songs in her newly released “āmìtè” album, she has also creatively re-arranged some of her previous popular favorites like 薇多莉亚的秘密, OK, 三天三夜, and many more songs into a rock genre. With so much “rock” styled into this concert, its little wonder nobody was standing still to the music and the ambiance is crazy yet delightful.

One of the big surprises during that night was when she performed an opera soprano from a small part of that famous operatic aria, Nessum Dorma. Interestingly she performed it flawlessly with little sweat and honestly at that moment the vocals is a tad out of my imagination coming out of a Taiwanese singer. Like they always say, if you can sing, you can sing the Yellow Pages. Amit is simply that good in her vocal range.

The other surprise came from this Caucasian guitarist in the band, who I thought was quite awesome with his guitar playing until Amit introduce him as Marty(Friedman) and I knew him being an ex-Megadeth member. A quick check on the internet did reveal that he was included in the band’s lineup for Amit’s Live Concert, the concert did spur new life with his inclusion.

The concert brought 3 hours of hard-rock adrenaline-pumping fun, definitely looking forward to more of Amit concerts in the future!
