Versailles (known as Versailles -Philharmonic Quintet- in the United States) is a Japanese metal band formed in 2007. It is composed of several notable figures in the visual kei scene. Versailles’ key characteristics are their renaissance-esque costumes, dueling guitar sounds and heavy but melodic arrangements. – Wikipedia
They have just released an 2nd album “Jubilee” on 20th Jan 2010. I came across one of their songs from the new album in Youtube and instantly fell in love with their style of music. The Song “Serenade” is mixture of classical, heavy with melodic dualing guitar solos. (remind me of X Japan).
